We tried to inspect for other causes but it was only her another pullet and another chicken in the coop together. The coop had some blood but we found no trace of blood outside the coop. That’s why I’m so blown this happened so quickly literally overnight. When we put them away that night before...
Yesterday early morning when we let our chickens out we noticed that one of the chickens decided to bully the crap out of a pullet. We got a couple new ones and have been slowly introducing them. We have had everyone separated but close enough to see for a few weeks and then let them go together...
I checked his feet and besides the possibly raised scales they look healthy no injury or swollen. No bumblefoot. His little baby spurs are finally coming in. All his toes and nails look normal. Wings look normal he eats and drinks. I’ll try to get. Video if he continues to fall over tommorow...
Okay thank you, he’s been doing good all day but I did notice he still trips kind of or falls over to his side here and there. But seems more full of energy today. Still no crowing but walks around making noises. Going to deworm everyone as soon as medicine comes in.
Today this morning he is doing better!! Poop is more solid and normal not runny. He isn’t stumbling/limping now. Crop seems empty this morning. He’s making little noises but hasn’t crowed like usual.
I have 2 silkies, him and my female and I have 3 other birds, 2 mystic onyx and a polish. My...
I didn’t want to overwhelm you. The only other thing I see wrong is he looks to have raised scales on legs.? Leg mites/? Hard to get a photo they look a bit dry and feel raised
Hes been drinking water with the vitamin powder in it…as I have another silkie and was trying to prevent vitamin deficiency. His butt is super clean. Looks normal no injuries and I’m not sure if it was blood because I soaked him to clean him and didn’t see anymore red. He is actually in a crate...
So I soaked him gave him a nice bath. He’s clean no injuries however he took another poop…is this mareks? None of my other chickens are sick as far as I have seen.
No injuries that I’m aware of and I haven’t seen any signs of pecking. And no one usually picks on him. And okay I will try to soak and get better photos
My silkie roo has some balance issues and I notice his butt is starting to look nasty. This was not there 2 days ago or at least big enough for me to notice. What can I do? I’m going to soak him to see if that helps and also cleans the area so I can see what’s going on.
O
Okay Thank you. Until then can I give tuna or something to try to help? My husband has long work days so I won’t be able to get anything for a bit. She’s still just laying down. Sometimes sleeps eyes closed on and off. I’ll get photos of her in a second
My welsummer chicken 18 weeks old has been acting different.i am not sure on her weight. I don’t think she feels lighter than the others. I notice she lays down a lot and walks kind of uncoordinated or wobbly. She still eats and drinks water. She gets up and forages a little but definitely lays...
I’m having the same issue with my 18 week old welsummer chicken. She has been laying down a lot and kind of had weird feet coordination or a wobble almost. She hadn’t started laying yet. I tried giving her a 20 minute soak last night because I thought maybe her first egg was stuck. But that...
