Finches and Budgies will do 1 - 4 batches in a normal season. This varies due to
1. fertility - if they don;t hatch go again.
2. loss of chicks - if they all die or get killed go again.
3. good or bad season - sneak more into a good season
I was more curious if you had ever noticed an Emu pair...
Mother has quite a few violets in her flock.
They are Danish pieds and Golden Faces mostly.
Once a long time ago she even had a "Parma violet" now that is rare. Unfortunately she could not establish the colour and has not been able to locate another.
Normal Violets are Blue Violet - Parma...
This morning I played Ricochet (a form of Croquet which is challenging) then I met my old school friends for lunch, then I paid a water bill, then I went shopping.
That's 4.
I was the maths geek who helped her bestie pass the "confusing stuff" the teacher has not explained clearly. I think I just understood how she thought better.
I do that to my Hubby who is less than a year older than me. ;)
But have a kid sister who used to do that to me once I hit 50 - now she has hit 50 the jokes have stopped.
I can only compare with Finches and Budgies - who sometimes mess up their 1st lay - so go back and do it again.
Do you know if this happens with Emu's?
Could Bush and Haystack have - got it wrong 1st time?
We both use Diarys - which mostly work - but she has been a bit "off" since the "crash" to the floor. Think it is just stress, but I have been over every 2nd day since - going again in a bit.
We had that - when is that appointment thing - with mum on Saturday. She had me take her to the hospital to have her dressing done - they couldn't find the appointment - oops its not till Sunday.
Fortunately it was quiet, so they did it and made an appointment Wed for the next one...
