Ok, here's a question. I have an Ameraucana/Welsummer rooster who is covering several different breeds of my brown egg laying hens, including an Ameraucana hen and two cream Legbar hens. I'm trying to get OEs. Will any of these crosses work?
First, I'm really sorry you can't have your chickens! I would really be upset if that had happened to me. I'm surprised they made so much noise they wouldn't be acceptable! I wish I hadn't already built a coop. I would have taken this in a minute!

About the Brinsea EcoGlow....It's dark underneath of it right? So the babies get some "dark" when they go underneath of it? I want one because I worry so much about having the heat lamp on all the time. And I DO feel bad about them not getting the night day cycle when I use the heat lamp...
I just heard that there is a totally different Washington State Back Yard Chickens on Facebook. I went out there, but didn't see it. Do any of you know anything about it? I live up in Arlington and would like a local affiliation.
