Silkies have purple/back skin naturally, I have syringe fed her water and gave her feed closer to her but I have not seen her eat it. I have not seen her poop, but she lives with other chickens.
HELP! We have an adult Silkie hen who has been off the past few days. She seems lethargic, hasn’t layed an egg, tends to hide in a corner. Before we noticed her being more lethargic she acted like she was trying to go broody which we didn’t want so we would remove her from the nest.

She is eating and drinking on her own, she just stopped eating and drinking and the clicking sound has started again. I am not sure when the last time was, we have 23 chickens with multiple duccles, and there eggs all look the same.

Her crop feel normal, I do see that it is droopy in the back but I don’t remember what it used to look like. When I went to feel her comb she started walking and is now drinking out of a dish, the walking was not super fast. Not sure if it’s her stomach making the noise or what, but during...
When we first found her she was not on a roost like she usually is at bed time, she was trying to go under our Silkie rooster who sleeps on the ground with our other two Silkie hens, she was also would sometimes go in an up right position like she was trying to lay an egg, but we didn’t feel an...
She is now not clicking when breathing, but it’s kind of an off and on thing. We have not noticed any swelling but she mostly is just staying in this corner not moving a lot. She has been hunched for most of the time since Friday. The white poop is what came out a little bit after we felt for an...
We have a sick Duccle chicken, she is about 2 years old. We at first thought she was egg bound but we could not feel and egg inside of her. We have moved her inside and she is currently in our bathroom, we are giving her water with tums in it(for calcium) and some food with their scratch grain...
Hi, my family and I live in a small homestead with chickens, dogs, goats, cats, and rabbits! We also love to garden and we are hoping to start a farm stand this year!
