Been wanting a cockatiel lately. However, the birds are loud! I could keep them outside, however the place I live often gets to 40 degrees C in summer and to about 10 degrees C in winter. Could get another for huddling to keep warm, but I only really want 1… what to do?
Hello all. I would like some advice on how to deal with this:
I have a rooster. The rooster (winter) has decided to pick a favourite hen (snowflake). Anyway, he has been over-mating with ‘snowflake’ and therefore she has lost a lot of feathers on her back (where saddle feathers are). How can I...
I don’t know if anyone here knows about geckoes, but I have 4 marbled geckoes, and 1 may be pregnant. I’m not sure, but she is quite young (born January 20th 2023) and there only seems to be one white patch, which wasn’t there before. I thought it was something else at first but it’s still...

Yes he has many other scabs on his crest/face/eyes/wattle. They have grew from that last picture. Which leads me onto my next topic. His eyes are officially so swollen he has gone temporarily blind. How on earth do I care for a blind rooster? He can’t see his food, or water, or di anything...
Omg yes it’s probably fowl pox. I’ve noticed he’s gotten a bunch of scabs on his crest recently but he’s the alpha rooster. Aah. Does anyone know how to cure?
About 2 days ago, my Sussex rooster (born in April this year if this is relevant) just happened to have rather swoollen (not super bad) eyelids. The only actual noticeable change from before was that I put some citronella cuttings into the coop, are chickens allergic to it? I’ve noticed that he...
Around April i got 2 beautiful barnevelder hens. The breeder said they were just standard barnies so i just went along. But around now they are still looking rather small while barnies are said to be a rather heavy breed, plus they have already started laying. I’ve heard the bantam eggs are less...
