Thank you for all of the replies, I sat out in the coop and watched her lay and egg, just to see if maybe I was wrong. Turns out that I was! She laid a blue/green egg. So does that make it easier to tell? Here is the new egg compared to the old one.
For Christmas I was given an egg incubaror. Now I just need eggs! I am located in SW Gainesville Florida, and would prefer to buy as locally as I can. I am not very picky when it comes to the breed, or species even. If it is chicken eggs you want to sell me I would prefer a good laying breed. I...
I don't know if you ever got in contact with her, but I was at the farm a few weeks ago and all of her chickens are friendly. Its amazing. I got a Blue Maran roo from her, he is the sweetest thing. He eats right out of my hand and follows me around the yard.
Alright, so a few weeks back I bought this beautiful hen. I am so very new to this, so when the breeder told me my hen was a Silver Laced Wyandotte, I didnt think to question her. I went on with my buisness, until my neighbor came over to see my new hen and said he thought it was an Ameraucana...
They are in an enclosure that is 10x10 with three coupes, I am building more tomorrow, and they will be starting free range tomorrow. Here's hopping that having more space will push them into laying.
Welcome to BYC, I have three RIRs your babies are adorable. And I agree that that look like Red Sexlink. But that is just my opinion.

Welcome, might I recommend posting a photo of your "unsure" chicken. I'm sure someone can help you figure it out. They helped me with mine!

Welcome, it is nice to see another fanatic like me. When I get into a new hobby, I do so much research that I could practically write a book.

If this is what you really want to do, then go for it. I was fifteen when I bought my own horse. I raised money by starting a small business, a photography business. I rode my bike around the historic parts of my city, made recycled frames, and sold my artwork out of a local store. Soon it took...
Welcome to BYC, I am new to this as well. I have three Rhode Island Red hens, two Ameraucana hens, and a Blue Maran Rooster. I love the Ameraucana egg color, and the supposed reliability of Rhode Island Reds. My little RIR hens havn't started laying yet, but here's hoping.
Happy learning,
Samantha
Yeah I figured, anyways I can't recommend that you put them in the same space. Maybe wire off an area just for the pigs, and they should be fine that way the chickens can get away if they need to.
