    need advice about boll weevils

The other day I noticed that there were alot of boll weevils throughout my bag of chicken scratch. I believe that there is about 25lbs of the scratch left in the bag. I wasn't sure if I should throw away the bag of scratch or is it ok to give it to the chickens still? I know that chickens eat...

    chics and treats

Thank you. I give my 3 adult chickens and my rooster all kinds of goodies. I just wasn't sure about my six 19 week old chickens. I thought I read somewhere that you couldn't give chickens anything other than starter/grower feed until they were a certain age. That's good to know. I appreciate the...

can tail feathers indicate which sex they are?

#1 Here you can see the green/black tail feathers. They look more black in the 2nd picture, but in the sunlight you can see the greenish color. #2 This one also has a couple. #3 This one also has a few on the top tail feather area.

    hens or roosters? please help

Ok, I went out and got a few more pics. These pics are focused on the body and tail area. Two of the red ones have a couple of black/green feathers on the tail. It was hard to get the camera focused good enough to show them. The picture above shows how this buff colored chicken has like a puffed...
