I have 6 pullets and 3 nests all with dummy eggs and they all lay in the exact same nest box every day. 5-6 eggs a day in the same nest. It's crazy. They line up and wait their turn!!
Just thought I'd check back in and let you all know that these 2 are girls! And I got my first eggs from them a week ago! So excited!
Thanks for all your help!

I too have 6 chicks and 3 nest boxes and all the chicks lay in the same box too!! Each waiting their turn for the box!!! Do I discourage this (I'm afraid they will break the eggs and then eat them!)? How do I get them to lay in another box? Or just don't worry about it?
Another great charity is Forever Warm. Forever Warm is a volunteer organization started by an angel mom who wanted to keep her son's memory alive by donating hand made blankets to hospitals to wrap angel babies in when they are born. The blankets can then be kept by the parents as a keepsake or...

Yep all boys!!
I know how you feel...my first 6 birds I got were supposed to be all girls and were all roos too!! I put them on craigslist and was able to rehome them. I couldn't eat mine either! The next six I got, I was more aware of the characteristics of roo vs hen and I'm...
I have an "upstairs" and "downstairs" too and I finally got my girls to roost last night instead of laying on the ground! I just kept putting them back upstairs every time I went in to visit them and after a few nights, they figured it out! So proud of them!
Keep working on it and they'll...

Thank you! Yes my birds look like yours from those pics. They "blow up" like the second pic and I thought that was a boy behavior. Nice to know the girls do it too!

I checked their feet and they both have yellow feet. And the 2nd chick, I checked under her black feathers and she has little Gold/red feathers on her throat/breast area. So I guess they are both Black Sexlink?
I just picked up these 6 chicks today and they are 15 weeks old. I'm pretty sure they are all girls this time around but I'm just curious what breed these 2 are and gender. 1 roo would be ok, but couldn't handle more than that.
Thanks for you help. If you see any hidden roos, please let me...
Here is a post of their tail feathers. I've seen lots of pics with big waddles and combs on RIRs so I'm not ruling them out as girls yet, but from these pics, would you still say boys?
I'm new to chickens and I just don't know what to do. Get rid of them now or what to see what happens with the RIRs? I think I have 2 people that want the Black roos. I'm so upset...I guess I get attached to my animals too easily.
Thought I had received all girls but have found out that I have two 4.5 mos old Silver Penciled Black Wyandotte Roosters that I must get rid of. They are not crowing yet but i can't keep them.
Free to someone in the local area.
Pick up only but would be willing to meet 1/2 way if...
