Really?!!:)
Oh wow!
I had feared lately that I had 3 cockerels & 1 hen...
The last pic of held bird is the only 1 of that 4th bird. I think it's a hen as well.
Should I get more pics? I have more in the cage but can't upload them from my phone for some reason.
Any more feed back or opinions...
Needing to thin out my chick experiment flock. I hatched these from my BO crossed w/ my Blue Copper Marans Roo.
Tried relentlessly to figure out what sex they are, now turning for help.
I hope the pics are good enough:/
Can take more tomorrow if need be, but they're flighty little buggers...
Me neither, cute round face, submissive, thin legs, no long tail feathers, doesn't hold head high, except to look about.
What is anyone seeing besides the comb?
I'm crying here....
Sure doesn't act like a Roo
Does anyone know If, whe a BLCM Roo is crossed w/a wheaten EE, do the males tend to be black/copper color & the females Blue ?
Seems to be what I'm getting if this one is a Roo .
Hope you can tell me this is a Poulet ..Hope!
I had an OE that looked similar to this one that was a Roo; But This one has less tail at the same age, smaller legs, much calmer, & has been hanging out & roosting with an older bantam Roo .
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks.
Not sure if this post will work...
My Roo has a lump on his leg.
& my hen has a bulbous swelling below her butt.
What are these problems?
& what can I do?
Well 2.5 ms later he did grow to be a nasty Roo
Tried lots of patient things, he'd settle down, but the next surprise would end up being worse than the one before.
When he attacked me in the midst of a calm encounter I culled him for supper.
I do believe you're right, nasty chicks become nasty...
Little guy crowed today! Indeed a little Roo . Nice temperament& prettier all the time. Come to find out he's a Bantam EE ROO!
Can't keep him, but I will till someone comes along n buys him.
Thanks for the help.l
I have 2 mahogany hens, now 2 years old. : Henny-Penny & Penny-Henny.
I bought from a local gal who said she "crossed the opposite of what is normally used for a Cherry Egger" , but called her birds Cherry Eggers.
I remember that she said all the chicks were black at birth, it seems that she...
Hi, just jumping in here,
I have what are suppose to be 2 black sex link poulets; I just noticed today that 1 has black legs, & 1 has yellow legs.
The one w/ the black legs is more black w/ copper hackles.
The one w/ yellow legs is more mixed color all over, rather like my Easter Egger.
I hope...
