I had two unique color chicks hatch out. The Roo and Hens came from a good breeder. Attached is one of the chicks that came from a white Roo and white Hen. I am not sure which hen layed the egg. I had Silkies for many years and never had this happen. Any idea on color?
I would like to order a dozen of lavender orpington eggs. Thank you for the offer on the cockerals. I wish I talked to you sooner before my husband got the two roosters.
My husband just got me two beautiful roosters a couple weeks ago, so I wanted to see if I could get some chicks or eggs to try to get at least a couple hens. He just in the right place and right time when got the roosters. I silkies, but wee wanted another beautiful breed for eggs. I heard...
It has been a while since I have been on BYC and thought I would get on here to look for a Black Jersey Giant Rooster in Michigan. I bought some chicks this spring thinking I would get mostly rooster, but was surprised that they all look like hens . I am new to the Jersey Giants.
I should have buff silkie chicks and royal palm turkeys for CS. I also have two nice buff roosters, if any one is interested. I am looking for some really nice splash hen/hens for my two splash roosters. I have too many roosters and not enough hens.

The Buff Oropingtons were one of my first chickens and two years later I still have them. They are gentle with the children and great layers. Below is my rooster:

It's a little different adding adults, since the babies tend to more "imprint" on one another. Adults can be really mean when you add them together.
I agree, I added babies and juvenile together, but not adults. They tend to get upset. I would have a mess in the pen if I put my adult...

I looked up the Black Shoulder Peacock and Peahens and no that isn't what I have. They look just like the India Blues and that is what I was told they were when I bought them.. The only thing I can think of is maybe they were mixed, but I seen their flocks of peacocks before I bought them and...
