I have an electric fence that pulses put up around my chicken run and installed on a metal cyclon fence. It has been there for several years and never kill one of my chickens. They are unhappy when the touch it, but it seems to do no real harm. They aren't nocked out either.

Just an update. Still believe this is a great program even if it did not work out for me. My meal maker hen ended up being a barred rock rooster. Wasn't worth the feed. I probably could have purchased several grocery store chicken and donated them to the needy for what I paid in feed to to raise...

The barred is a free meal maker from Meyer hatchery so can only assume it is a barred rock, the white is a white rock...

This chick is almost yellow with a bit of reddish color on its back. Belly is yellow. Wing tips have a bit of white and black the the beck having no color
