We are currently battling a fox. She took 2 chicks; one overnight, one in the morning. We've seen this thing frequently during the day. Currently have a trap set for her. There are no signs left behind, just missing birds. According to DNR, we are allowed to trap and dispatch this animal, but...
You know, one quick trip to the vet can cure the spraying problem. It isn't even overnight anymore. Catch him in the morning, sneak him to the vet, bring him back, let him go. Claim ignorance. Just a thought.....
Make me smart! Please talk to me about weather radios. What do they do? Do they alert one to a weather emergency? Last night, a tornado touched down just a few miles away from us, and we slept straight through it. I don't want that to happen again. Thank you!!!
Are there any farmers/ranchers/livestock owners around you? I'd offer them for butcher to them. Contact FFA/4H groups in your area. They might have members interested in them for meat. Contact your high school, see if they have an ag dept that might process them for you. Have them butchered, put...

Cassowaries are very dangerous, but the quote you posted could very well apply to dogs. "...when provoked, they are capable of inflicting injuries, occasionally fatal, to dogs and people." And we still let them in our homes, on our furniture, in our beds. :) Although, they aren't the size of a...
Yes, raw and sliced. Keep it up, you'll get the hang of it soon. And trust me, everyone makes mistakes when baking/cooking. Such as the time the banana bread wasn't actually done, (ahem) and when I went to tip it out of the loaf pan, I had a huge goopy mess to clean up. @@ The horse loved it...
There is a fix for over salting your food. Cut up a potato, and add it to the dish. It will cut the saltiness, and make the meal edible. Live and learn. :)
