    The chicken wouldn't have gapeworm if it hasn't been outside........good luck with your chicken!! BTW, we keep our chicks inside until they are about a month to 6 weeks and than they go outside!!

    Get Tylan 50 injectible and treat her!! There are many on here that will tell you to cull her and the rest of your flock....that's not necessary IMO. Good luck with her!! She'll get better with the antibiotic.

    That was my thought too.....just let her go and see what happens, the little stinker. And I also agree with hens being broody for longer than 5 weeks. I have a friend that has 2 hens that tag team. One sets on the eggs and hatches them and than another takes over while the first hen sets on...

    She is in a crate all snug and cozy so she can still see eveyone else but be secluded. I only candled her eggs twice, once after a few days and than a few days ago......

    It's only 9 degrees here today...I'm sure they're done for Well, I've learned my leason.....give her eggs when she first starts brooding. I didn't really want her to set right now because it is so cold here right now, and she wouldn't quit setting, so I figured she'd see these guys to hatch...
