Yes, I've checked her vent and she's been laying eggs! I'll give this a shot. Thank you for the advice about not moving them alone. I thought she was sick at first hence the quarantine, but it turns out she's just being bullied!
I have seven 8-month old coturnix, all female, in a large enclosure. They were getting along fine for months but all of a sudden six of the seven have ganged up on one. They are pecking, chasing, and preventing her from getting food/water. She'll fly to a site out of reach and then start pacing...
Thank you for your reply! I will have to look into the different characteristics of each species. What would you consider "enough space"? The coop is L8'xW4'xH6' and about 36 square feet after hides/feeders/water are added.

I am building a L8'xW4'xH6' aviary for my quail and I'm planning on getting 6 celadon, 6 coturnix and want to add 3 california valley (all chicks). Can I keep all these quails together if they are all raised together from a few weeks old?
