This is the dilemma I’m having as well. I know I want to use a dog run with a cover for the area I want to put it, but the actually coop is the headache. We live in northern Ohio so I needs to be up off the ground, but all of the pre-made ones are either low to the ground, cheap materials...
Thank you for the help! They are from Rural King, so yes supposed to be pullets, but I have Rhode Island Reds that are clearly one of each. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and see what he or she does. I suppose one day I’ll hear a rooster crow or see an egg, then I’ll know for sure. LOL
Hello! I posted these two before but they were a little young still. Here they are at 6 weeks. I’m thinking the first one is a pullet and the second is a cockerel, but just looking for second options. Thanks!
Thank you for this post, it helped with a lot of future wonders. We’re in Northern Ohio and summer can be pretty brutal, especially with the humidity. I wondered how chickens handle the heat since this is our first experience with them. Thanks again!

I will! I didn’t know if it was too early or not, even though they do look very different to me. The one with no tail is already starting to get a pinkish red waddle.
