Do you have chicken nightmares too.

I dream about my mine all the time! Although I never dreamt a mink would tunnel a hole through the floor and get in... and in the end that’s what happened!

    Bantam speckled Sussex roosters

I have a speckled Sussex rooster and he is the best. He has defended my flock from a bobcat and a mink (is currently injured from the mink). He is sweet and respects me and the hens. He is chatty and curious, and an all round gentlemen. Would highly recommend this breed to anyone.

Keeping mink and rats out of my coop!

Ok. We have doubled and even tripled the edges with the one inch, and put down old license plates over the holes. What about the sides? Could they technically tunnel into a 2*4 and go up the sides?

    Injured hen and rooster

I have done the blue spray on the hen, and put a little on a q-tip and dabbed it on my roo’s cuts. I have checked him a few times under his wings and can’t feel anything. He walks normal and can get up and down, he just seems to sleep constantly. I wondered about shock too... what about...

    Injured hen and rooster

Hi there! I am a new member, but have visited this page many times while keeping chickens the past year. So last Thursday a mink chewed a hole into my coop and killed a hen, another hen died from a possible heart attack, so she did not look injured. Another hen is very injured, large cut on her...
