I dream about my mine all the time! Although I never dreamt a mink would tunnel a hole through the floor and get in... and in the end that’s what happened!
I have a speckled Sussex rooster and he is the best. He has defended my flock from a bobcat and a mink (is currently injured from the mink). He is sweet and respects me and the hens. He is chatty and curious, and an all round gentlemen. Would highly recommend this breed to anyone.
Ok so chickens are staying in the basement another night and we are doing hardware cloth tomorrow. I am too scared to put them out with the one inch. We are gunna have so much metal in there it will be like Fort Knox. My poor depressed rooster tonight ate some cream of corn (only a few bites)...
Ok. We have doubled and even tripled the edges with the one inch, and put down old license plates over the holes. What about the sides? Could they technically tunnel into a 2*4 and go up the sides?
