    My girls here in Hawaii love the play structures we put in the run. What else does one do with them when the grandkids out grow them? They provide shade, private time, activity and they seem to play hide and seek too.

    So sad to hear this. Sounds like a small weasel or something. I live in Hawaii and have been battling mongoose’s. I agree with going with the hardwire cloth and securing your coop. It’s a pain in the butt to secure but worth it! It still is so heartbreaking to find this. Stay strong!

    Coop choice confusion

    I absolutely love my large Formex coop! We added a 12’ x 4’ run with wheels on it for a tractor. My 6 big girls fit fine in it and it’s super easy to clean.

    Broody Hatchalong!

    Anyone have ideas for me on how to get my new broody girl to stop being broody. My girls are 9 months and we’re laying very well until this one decided to take over the “favorite” nesting box. There are 3 others but the other girls seem to only want the one she occupies. I remove ALL eggs daily.

    Where in the country do you live? I live in Hawai’i and we have Jackson chameleons who lay eggs like that’s one. The “shell” is like leather. Could it be from a reptile?

    I’ve been doing the same research. If price isn’t an issue, go to Chicken Condos.com. You will find the Formex Snap and Lock coops with runs and wheels. Just on line the coop is about $850. The ones on Chicken Condo are around $1500 - $2000.
