Its like broody insanity here, lol I have four ducks and a bunch of hens all sitting on eggs. I thought a Possum was stealing the eggs and eating them, but it was one of the other broody ducks doing it. :( Anyone coming to the auction this Sat in Canandaigua? I have 6 (maybe more) fertile Bantam Ameraucana hatching eggs availble for $8, anyone want? My Ameraucanas are finally laying (Well, some of them are) and I just set some in the incubator last night, they'd be straight run though, I don't know how to sex day old chicks. I need to go thru last years fall hatch and decide which pullets are staying, I'm hoping they fill out and grow...- Sachasmom

...the soonest folks have had them lay? I see some started birds over on Rarebreeds, just hate to have to feed stuff all spring/summer again, I need *something* to help with the feed bill, everything ate all winter and did nothing, sigh. Does anyone have a Mature spare Rooster? Oh, I drive right by you on my way back! Maybe they will be laying in a month, lol I drive by on my way to the Columbus rabbit show in May, so maybe then. ;p I hate to ship stuff if I don't have to, the PO hates me and always manages to loose stuff, sigh.- Sachasmom

Keep in mind its reality TV... You can buy coupons online, whole inserts or just the ones you want. Or they buy multiple papers, or go dumpster diving. Depends on the store, some limit you as to how many coupons you can use, some of the coupons have limits too, like limit 4 like coupons per...- Sachasmom

I'm having some issues with my quail, hopefully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong here! My males keep killing the hens! I had one paired up with one hen for a long time (six months or more) and he ripped her up, I took her out, gave him two new hens, one of which he killed the next day... -

I really need to save some pullets from this year, I lost a lot of hens last year to predators so the hens I had were *okay* (Why is it that the good stuff always gets eaten?) but the Roo was really nice, I am hoping for at least three nice pullets from this batch...- Sachasmom
