    Mystery chickens

I didn't think hatcheries/stores would sell mutt chickens, but could that be the case? I've looked up just about any breed that was remotely similar to my chickens but none match.

    Mystery chickens

I have two pullets that were labeled as heavies. They are barred with small single combs and yellow feet.I originally thought they were easter eggers but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any ideas?

Because I had one of the cornish, it was definitely different. And the cornish came from the bantam bin; the chickens in question are standards

    Easter Egger club!

Is it possible to have an Easter egger without a beard/muffs? I have two pullets that were labeled as heavies at the store. I was convinced that they were easter eggers because I saw a picture of an EE that looked just like them but now I'm doubting myself. I thought they would develop muffs as...

How to pick the rooster that stays?

There's a chance they could coexist peacefully, if you end up deciding you want both. Sometimes roos who were raised together will tolerate each other at maturity as well. You'll just have to watch them.

Welsummer for sure! I have a banty roo and he's my favorite. The funny thing is, my other roo was also a Henrietta before we realized he was Henry. We got rid of him.

Is my cage big enough for two robo hamsters?

Sorry for the threadjack but I have a question actually. I was considering getting a robo maybe a rat, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. What is the maintenance like? How friendly are they? Which pet do you think would best suit me?

Need Opinions on Different Chicken Breeds for Hot Chandler, Arizona Climate

I'd say welsummer is your best bet. They are heat hardy and one of the most docile breeds you'll find. I have a welsummer bantam roo who sits in my lap. I believe they come in standard sizes as well.

New Flock of Six - guess on breeds

Looks to me like orpingtons, RIR, and barred rock but I've never had a dominique so idk could be that. You should be able to tell by the comb. BRs have single combs.

Can you add a flock with a rooster to a flock that already has one?

I can't remember what the dimensions are, I think the run is 20x20 but I could be wrong. And sadly, I think you're right, I should just stop expecting him to sit in my lap or follow me around like he used to :'(
