Anybody know the survival rate of keets hatched in the field/outdoors, not incubators?

    Looking for turkeys

It's rough, nobody has turkeys, nearby. Might have a lead but at least an hour drive and sounds like they are cross bred. Might have to just do it.

Ok occasional "people food" treats for geese?

I have three adopted goslings, one white, two white with grey patches. Not sure what to feed them except flock feed and free ranging. I have no idea what type they are but I had to adopt them they are soooo cute!

    Thinking of calling it quits.

I didn't have any luck incubating eggs, but I had a hen that would sit on them faithfully...she hatched three nest fulls. My hen was stolen in the middle of the night, but I have a duck that is feeling lucky (:

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I have so many, different colors, temperaments. One thing I know, when mine go broody, they are the best mothers. I have one that basically taught me a lesson! My ears were ringing after the wing beating I got trying to untangle one of her babies.

Do I have a hen & a roo or what?

Are they assertive? First to feed, cuz looks like roos to me. My roos always stood up taller, stood at the front of the flock, came to the food bowl first.

    Guineas in the Road

Yea, My neighbors laugh and seriously call them suicidal as they will leave the side of the road and cross right in front of a car!

    When to move???

I do the same as Denn. I have also let a broody watch over them as she protects them from too much pecking. I recently added six chicks to my broody and she won't let the other hens near 'her' babes. Sometimes I even get too close. OUCH!

    Another Egg Bound Hen.

How did she fare? I lost a hen recently to this as I was unaware.....new to peafowl last year. I noticed the wings hanging down and next day was just too late ):

    Guineas in the Road

Can anybody explain to me why my guineas like to play suicide on the gravel/paved road. I have over 20 acres for them to wander...and they do, but they love to play chicken on the road with cars.

Two Male Guineas Fighting!!! Should I add some females?

My guineas tend to chase each other also. I just thought it was a dominance thing because they chase my peacocks too!
