hey everyone new serama momma here.can someone fill me in on the basics.at what age should i expect the first egg,and when will the rooster mate?at what age can i safely breed them?any and all info is helpful
hi everyone .just purchased a pair of seramas. they haven't been handled and are very fearful of me. does anyone have helpful ideas?also can someone recommend a good book on raising seramas?

when do i integrate new chicks and mom into the flock?will the year old roosters hurt the week olds?i have 3 roosters all together,and 4 hens.when should i take mom and baby's out for a bit in the yard?
thanks for the info lady mc camley,my tillie2 hatched 4 of the 5 white leghorns yesterday. the #5 still hasn't hatched.how long do i leave it in the nest.will i need to water the 4 or should i step aside
fisherlady so cute.my white leghorns are still cooking under my silkie momma that was born /hatched last july. 3 days to go. do u think there's a chance my silkie rooster could fertilize standard size hens? I've never seen them do the deed but was kind of hoping.what do you think?
that all sounds reassuring. thanks for the insight. lady of mc camley said the same as you all.she said if she can hatch em she can keep em warm.she also said to put sone stones or marbles in the water container so they don't drown.has any one ever heard of a chicken swallowing a stone ?how big...

hi everyone little here.it's been awhile.my broody silkie is on 5 white leghorn eggs due to hatch day b4 easter.it's still real cold here blow freezing.18 this morning in the coop.should i set up the heat lamp day b4 the hatch day?the chicks are going to b big ones.and shes so small im worried...
