My husband and I are buying land in NE Ok and I hope to have a small flock of chickens. I'm curious what breed works best here - I'm from the Mid-Atlantic where we had Rhode Island Red and Plymouth Rock. I like Plymouth Rock better - good for laying and meat and less nervous than other breeds...
