Hey, I have not been on in here in awhile.. Life happens... I have a four month old RIR hen that has all of a sudden quit opening her foot and hobbles around on her ankle acts like her leg is hurting also .. I have checked it out and it feels like nothing is broken any ideas..? how do you tell...- luckylee

How cold is TOO cold for a chicken?
Chickens can take the cold easier than the heat... The only thing you need to worry about if the temps are below freezing is that they don't frost bite on their feet or combs.. I worried about mine the first year that it was single digits and they did fine. You have to have a water heater so...- luckylee

How to treat sour crop
Thank you... I have one girl with sour crop... she has a huge crop but it is squishy soft and when you massage it she burps a real bad smell. I gave her probitoics today and then clear water..I gave her no grain only an egg cooked in the microwave shells and all....chopped up real fine... Her...- luckylee

You did real good... not a kill deer it is a Brown Thrasher you did get the chickadee it is a black capped chickadee... :-) I think there was some kind of geese mixed in with the cranes.. They flew over for about 20 minutes and They were so loud but beautiful then headed to the North... I have...- luckylee
