    Shes very odd in that she chases squirrels and smaller birds. She has no indication that she is a late blooming rooster. Shes just werid.

    This hen does not appear to be I'll, or injured. Shes about 30 weeks old. She just keeps to herself. Shes always like 30 feet away from the rest of the flock. Flock of 12 hens and 1 rooster. What gives?

    Yeah I'm going to put like 9" and put some type of flower bed or shrubs there to help soak up the water. In the summer it's not a problem because its Texas and it gets so dry the ground cracks.

    It am going to do about another foot then. I know we buried it 2' deep. Our water table is so high that when we were building our chicken coop the holes we dug filled up with water. It is no where near a septic line or a water line. Just live really close to a lake.

    I had the septic tank pumped a year ago, but I also had to have my lateral line rerouted because the old clay pipe had busted up. I guess it could be full again. We do use septic treatment. I do occasionally rinse toilet bowl cleaner down the system and only run bleach in the washing machine...
