    Abandon coop!!

No evidence of any parasites, but I'll look again. Mosquitoes yes, but they are gonna get to them no matter where they are, I am in florida, and we pretty much have mosquitoes year round. The roost isn't very high feeling in the coop, so I'll try changing the height as they seem to be roosting...

    Abandon coop!!

OK. So I've had four chickens for about 8-9 months now and everything has been going fine. Lately they are not returning to the coop at night, and instead are sleeping and pooping in places I don't want them to (like the deck, my work bench, etc). They do return to lay their eggs, but don't...

I only have four birds, but could probably have six, especially since I let them out during the day.

    My First Coop.

I would consider a ridge vent, since you haven't covered the roof yet. Will also help keep it cooler in the summer and give your eve vents somewhere to vent to.

I was going for a locomotive look! LOL "Chicken Train" instead of chicken tractor. Will also be adding a smokestack/planter to help the look.

Thanks for the ideas! Will add nesting box to the back later. Had to cover back lower to keep rain from getting into pvc feeder that you can see part of (bowl removed for cleaning).

    Our 'Stagecoach' Clone

Started building mine today. Went with the grey electrical conduit as it is UV rated. I do have a new question. What is the 1X4 about a foot off the base for? It seems like you would want it higher up for stability, but is it needed at all? I'm trying to cut weight where I can, because of...

    Coop tractor wheels

I moved an empty hot tub this way, practically by myself! I only needed two 4inch pvc pipes, and was able to manipulate the hot tub onto a trailer even. My friend was a amazed it was so easy!

Wheels on a tractor here's how.

I like those pillow block bearings. Grease fitting and all!! Started building mine today, but have thought about the wheels yet.
