i have a girl that makes two nests of eggs. one in a box and one under the coop. she will not stay on one nest for longer than a day. i remove the eggs from under the coop every day but i still find a pile of eggs. how might i keep her on one clutch

it has been 8 hours and our first chick is not drying at all... i know they are supposed to stay in there for 24 hrs, but with humidity high for other chicks to hatch, how is she going to dry?? this is our first experience with hatching, so might sound silly, but dont wanna risk anything...

Well we are only using a heat lamp with a piece of cardboard over it with a nickel size hole in it.. Sounds like what you are using would be pretty effective too, if anything try the cardboard thing, but light is good!
We are also at day 10 of incubation, brown eggs also. At day 3 we were able to see the small embryo and very faint veins. Out of 11 that we put in incubator, we have 5 for sure growing and can see them moving around well now. Are your eggs real porous? Sometimes it can be real hard to see if...

well our rabbit is about 12 weeks old and is an English spot. Yes, it is kept in the same pen as the chickens. Really also wondering if our other hens could have done this to the new hen that entered our coop 1 week prior? I know we will never know for sure...
