    They look fine to me. The patterns seem to vary. Mine was bought as a silver laced wyandotte and over time her white areas turned gold

    I don't live far from you. seems like every other neighbour on my street has chickens. you should consider moving to east durham or the surrounding area. avoid the historical districts and your birds should be fine. this is chicken country.

    They need more time to get used to each other. you will also need more hens. usually 10 hens per rooster is the ratio. your girls will end up getting over used.

    Also they will not molt at exactly the same time but with the weather changing soon it is going to happen if they are over a year. I also didn't see those shots of her underside. She doesn't look raw on her backside, so I don't think she is chaffing. I have a girl who rubs against the hardware...

    I made our pop door 24" by 24" because they share a coop with ducks and I read they like to come out side by side. I haven't seen anyone come out side by side actually... it is more like opening the store doors at a black friday sale, so I am glad I went bigger.
