My two White African Dewlap eggs hatched yesterday! This was my first ever incubation and hatch!
The hatch was not without its problems...humidity was a nightmare to control, despite a hygrometer showing 80% humidity, the air was still far too dry - I think with hindsight, the hygrometer was...
Please can someone tell me if a temperature of 97.5 farenheit (approximately 36.5 celsius ) is acceptable for my hatcher? This is the temperature at the top of where the eggs will be.
I have two African Dewlap eggs at day 28 ready to go into the hatcher but am just a little worried about the...
I am trying to do a dry incubation - hope that is the correct term! My humidity is about 29 - 31% and I mist the eggs once daily. I won't raise the humidity until the eggs start to pip when I will pop them into the hatcher where I hope I can keep the humidity well up - about 80%. I'm so very...

I'm a complete first-timer at incubating having waited for years to be in a position to keep birds! I have four Exhibition Dewlaps, two White African Dewlaps and six Muscovies in my Brinsea Octagon!
I'm trying as best I can to...

I'm totally new to all this - poultry...
