    We've got an egg-eater on our hands...😤

Absolutely! It has an app and it's free and the recording stays for three days but I also have an SD card in it. I have two cameras and I can move them around wherever I want.

    We've got an egg-eater on our hands...😤

Actually there are very reasonably priced cameras out there. Got two of them on Amazon. $27.99 each and no AC required because they are charged with a USB cord and I do that about once every 30 days. At least take a look at it and read the comments.

How do I teach chicks how to eat?

Today my baby chicks are two days old and I put the food and water next to the nest and watched while step mama crooned to them and they started jumping out of nest following what she was doing. Here’s a video. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0kKK2_DJQwvjUKLZUU2huPFCw#Ramona

Comment by 'inkydew' in article 'Do Poultry Mourn Over The Loss Of A Flock Mate?'

The first time I ever raised chickens, one of them died at about eight years old. So I was left with one, very lonesome Plymouth rock hen. I purchased some 6 week old white Brahmas, thinking that my big girl wouldn’t do much to them and the Brahmas would become 1. 1/2 x larger! There was a...

    Rat Problem

I have resorted to feeding my chickens inside their enclosed coop in the morning. I have a coop with half inch hard wire that completely encloses the coop which sets 3 feet off the ground. This is the only way to prevent rats from getting in and foraging. I have a big rat problem also but I live...

TSC Sells Ships Chicks?!? Hoover's Hatchery (dropships)

I read a great article here on this site and a video showing how to sex checks and also pullets and Cockrell. I am sorry but I cannot remember who it was except that she was female! LOL! I then tested my knowledge on some “pullets that my neighbor purchased at TSC. They were eight weeks old...

My 11-year-old Plymouth rock “ROC“, Died 4 months ago and her close buddy, a white Brahma, became broody the first two weeks after her death. And now, she and the other Brahma, both stopped laying!

    My two Brahmas stopped laying!

So, 7 months ago, I built a new coop, rat proof I might add! One of my Brahmas went psychotic on me and stoped laying! And she walks around grumbling now. 3 months ago, my 11-year-old Plymouth rock finally kicked the bucket and my other Brahma became depressed and she stopped laying! Is there...

Review by 'inkydew' in article 'Chicken bully/chicken victim - a two-sided issue'

Thanks for the info! It makes sense and is easy to do. So far, my girls have worked things out. My 9 year old Plymouth Rock, rules the roost over the three 1 year old white Brahmas and it's pretty peaceful!

    Treating poultry lice naturally

Will use the Dawn only routine with Vaseline if the Neem doesn't work. My biggest quandary is WHERE did they get lice? A passing coyote or raccoon?

    Treating poultry lice naturally

I'm such a novice at this so would appreciate more detail. For the Neem (it's on its way), and the Dawn dishwashing liquid, do I fill a basin or sink 1/2 way? And then rinse it off?.
