Thanks!
I don't shop at Wal Mart but I can pick it up at one of the many other stores in my community.
I didn't know that ducklings needed extra niacin. So I'll give that a try. I haven't seen any thing else weird happen.
I visited a local lady, very nice. I picked up three East Indies ducklings. When I got them home and settled in one laid on its side paddled around in a circle. I thought that maybe it just fell and up righted it, it continued to run, and then fell back in the same spot. The duckling seemed to...
So do most of you that cook duck cook it until the center of the breast is still pink?
I just have two ducks right now. Cayugas: Bambi and Thumper. . . guess they are safe huh? But next year I want duckling and if I have too many drakes I hate for them to go to waste.
Goat_Walker I am sorry...
I was just reading the "Do you eat duck" thread. I admited that I am not a duck as a food fan. Not because of sentimental reasons, but because we never really ate duck when I was growing up. Except that pressed duck off the Chinese menu and I don't know if that really counts. Anyway. . . I went...
Right now I do not have enough ducks to feed them duck feed. It would go back before the two ducks I have could get through 50 lbs. So they get the same feed as the chickens. Should I be adding anything to the ducks feed in addition to the layer feed?
I have never been a huge fan of duck to begin with. I mean it was never part of my everday diet. Now I actually have thought about adding duck to my diet, but it is such a fatty meat. Like I really need to add more fat ya know?
I have two cayugas. I love them. They are just so beautiful. They are a new addition and I thought I could pick their pen easily but it has been back ordered for 3 weeks now! Poor dears have to live in a dog cage in the middle of a buck goat's pen at night and then during the day they free...
How do geese differer from duck in temperment?
Behavior?
Do geese range more than ducks?
When are geese most vocal?
I am thinking of getting some geese. I was told that they are not just big ducks so i am just trying to learn how they are different. I have neighbors, they are very tolerant.
How does your rabbit have access to chicken feed?
I would not give the rabbit access to chicken feed. If that means moving the rabbit than move the rabbit.
Rabbit food is going to be/ should be higher in fiber than chicken feed. It is not just grains.
I have a three tier cage and only the top twe are fill. Hmmmm. .. I have my buck and my doe but that leaves one more space. lol
I don't suppose you come to shows in WI? lol

I am across the lake from you with similar weather. A lot of people over here use calf hutches for a shelter. A barn is even better. If they can get out of the wind that is the most important. Hay also helps keep them warm, digesting it heats them from the inside.
Thanks,
I have become a memeber of ARBA, and I have visited a few shows. I still wondering if I should get an easier starter rabbit. When I think about grooming for the show I get a knot in my stomach. I think that just a nice little rabbit that does not require as much grooming so I could just...
