I believe that hatcheries sell mixed blue egg layers by that name and they can be mixed with any breed. It just means the bird has the gene or is expected to for blue eggs.- Briza

My hens aren't laying yet or I'd offer. Wabash Feed in the heights sells fresh eggs in a pinch although they sell out quickly. I'm not sure if they buy them from someone or if they're from their unsold RIR flock of hens.- Briza

I don't think I'll ever be old enough to stop burying animals I've raised as pets. The only one's I've been able to toss were the DOA chicks and the ones that died within a day or two.- Briza
