Yeah I think so. I'm no bird shrink but I think he may chase vehicles because he fell off one and ended up by us. Not positive but it is weird how he chases vehicles. Almost sad if that is why he chases them to. Oh great to know I didn't know they couldn't get rabies!
Wow if I hunted them I would have them mounted. Really beautiful birds. I don't hunt the Ring neck but hear they are delicious from a co- worker. He said little breast meat but very good if cooked right.
Oh so that must be the ear feathers? Correction on time frame to we first saw him on March 15th and when he was hit he layed low somewhere for about a month not a week.

About a week ago my dad had a ring neck pheasant show up and it has stayed ever since. My dad feeds the birds with a standard bird feeder off the ground so it probably eats some of the seeds the birds kick out. Now my father will purposely feed and put water out for the pheasant.
