Both wellsumer or ? The darker chick has brown legs.

I just put them out under my broody hen, so for now this is the best picture I have of the comb, which does look just like the Wellsummer. I think it could possibly be the partridge rock you spoke of and looks a lot like the EB picture, don’t know what that is. No puffy cheeks or pea comb for...

Both wellsumer or ? The darker chick has brown legs.

They are from the local feed mill, from the Wellsummer cage, helper guy there said it was just a dark wellsummer, but I am thinking not with the leg color and less striping.

Broody Hen give babies or fertile eggs

I have a hen who went broody 2ish weeks ago. I am trying to decide if I should get her 2 chicks from the feed mill to raise or the hatching eggs I just recieved today in the mail. If I give her the eggs to hatch she will have been sitting for 5- 5+ weeks. If the eggs don’t hatch, I would be...

Ameracauna? Or EE? Female or males?

Hopefully they are mostly female, the breed isn’t very important to me, since I am new to raising chickens. Two of them are super sweet and two are a little less social, but still agreeable, and they were really cute and are becoming very pretty.

Ameracauna? Or EE? Female or males?

I got them at Goods Feed store in East Earl, PA. I read that Feed stores often don’t sell the real Ameracauna and that usually you get Easter Eggers. The gray and brown one do have gray legs the yellow ones legs sometimes look green and sometimes look gray. Thanks for your input!

Ameracauna? Or EE? Female or males?

3 week old chicks, super sweet especially one of the yellow and the brown one. The 2 pics of the brown one are the same bird. Anyone have an older bird that looked like any of these as a baby? I just love all the little ones! My first chicks! Really hoping I’ll be able to keep them all. I have s...

    Sexing 3 week old chicks

Both Astrolorps, in attached photos are supposed to be females, but wing size is so different and the one with longer wings stands much less upright. I am wondering if they look like hens or one rooster? The one with short wings is super friendly and likes to jump on my arms.
