Thank you everyone! His comb is red. He’s eating like a lil monster and poops look solid and within normal range. Seeing doc today for the bumblefoot and butt. I will keep you posted.
I love this group and am grateful!
Btw he needs to get back out to the flock, the hens are a disaster without him.
Update….he’s eating, drinking, and giving me the stank eye. Ready and willing to fight me to not get his foot bandage changed.
His comb is much redder!
Butt is still messy but stools look good. I can’t see mites. I’ll let vet decide what to do.
He has vet appointment at 2 tomorrow to treat the...
Oops, forgot to say that his feet look good imo, except for the bumble foot that I am ashamed to have missed. Color looks typical for him. I have 2x4 boards for nesting so they can cover their feet.

Eyes are clear…no watering, no sneezing.
Thank you for taking the time to share thoughts. I’ve had hens before but this is my first rooster. I am glad to know they are sensitive. He has medicated water and some egg and all flock if he wants. Breathing very labored! No vitamins in his water.
I hope it’s okay to keep him separate...
Symptoms were one hen acting lethargic and had some green poop. All others had no symptoms. No one seems to be symptomatic for anything. I will check him for mites.
He is still breathing. He fought me hard when I caught him and he was flapping then.
I have a stethoscope. Will listen now...
1) RIR rooster. Maybe be 24-30 weeks ago. Inherited him recently. He’s a big boy. Maybe 7 or 8 pounds.
2) Stopped crowing last week. I treated the whole flock for an unidentified illness over a month ago. One hen was sick at the time. Isolated her. Treated whole flock, at vet suggestion, with...
