I live in Mn and the coop will also insulated. Since the whole coop will be in shade and the south wall will be attached to another structure, I'm guessing it won't matter where the windows are located just so long as there are some windows for light.
I have all shade in my backyard and was wondering about window placement also. (The south side of the coop will actually be attached to an existing shed, so no window worries on that side) With this being said, does window placement even matter? Any advice is appreciated.
I have been a stalker for a bit now and have officially become a member, YAY! The city I live in recently adpted a city ordinance to allow up to 5 hens in residential backyards. I am attending the city sponsored chicken workshop tonight and can't wait to get started on building a coop and run!
