    Butt Protuberance

Thanks. These links are very helpful. I'm thinking it's probably a hernia. I'll just let her go for the time being, and might harvest when my cockerel comes of age, and harvest him.

    Butt Protuberance

It's soft. It doesn't seem as though it's painful when I mess with it while cleaning her off. Her poops are maybe a little loose, but don't seem appreciably different than her coop-mates.

    Butt Protuberance

    Looking for chicks in lakeland

My husband is building my coop this weekend as a late Mother's day present. I've heard much about a local chicken "swap" in the Lakeland/Bartow area, and is wondering if anyone can tell me about it. I'm looking for 3-4 chicks/hens (want to avoid roosters) in the next few weeks. Any help?

I'm in Lakeland, too. I'm planning my coop to build over the winter. What part of town are you in? I'm south of the airport.

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I live in Lakeland. I don't have chickens yet, but am planning ahead. I plan to build a coop this winter (after the drain field is re-done) and get hens in the spring. I have a couple of friend here who also have chickens.
