    The lighter of the two looks like a Golden Comet and the darker looks like a Red Star. Both are generic names for what looks like part New Hampshire. New Hampshires have black tipping at the edges of the wings and tail feathers. Don't worry though, you will get amazing eggs from both!!!!

    You don't leave anything on them for any length of time- they will get cold!!!!! Wash quickly, then for the "final rinse" have a bucket of warm vinegar water for dipping them into.     I've used many things to wash mine with and I've found liquid Ivory body wash makes them feel nicer than any other- without doing a vinegar rinse. Please exercise caution while bathing to keep them as warm as possible and blow dry on low quickly so they don't catch a chill.

    it won't hurt them to have their feet and leg feathers look a bit dingy, but it is probably unnecessary to wash them this early.     I have never had to bathe mine either except for showing or for the occasional poo spotting (where they seem to lay on each other and poo!), otherwise I feel like its unnecessary to wash their natural oils off. Do blow them dry on the low setting so they'll get dry right away and not catch a cold.

    I would wash the oil off with liquid Ivory body wash, blow dry on low setting, then try baby powder on the bum- this is what I do before shows to keep the poo from sticking. If they're getting pasted ends, you may need to give them some meds to get that issue gone. I've not had any of mine...
