My 2 year old EE has been dealing with a water balloon-like crop for about 2 weeks. When I first noticed, it was very pendulous and she was kicking it up with her feet while she walked. I separated her with just water for a day and then just did yogurt and some scrambled egg for a couple days...
Unfortunately, we lost her later that night. She also died in my hands...it's so hard. Fortunately the store still had another golden polish from the same order, but I still feel really bad.
We have some 3 day old chicks. The neighbor terrier got in our porch today and got to them, I think just before we saw him. 2 birds got flipped into their water, one was on her back and one was already out when we got to her. Dried and warmed them both. One is jumping and peeping like normal...
Thanks everyone! It's like he knew I was wondering - this morning he's started trying to crow. It's more of a honk - he sounds like if a goose tried to imitate a rooster :-) But it's definitely a crow!

This light brahma is supposed to be 14 weeks old. I was convinced for the last month that it's a cockerel because the comb started to grow and redden, and because this chicken is HUGE, but was waiting for confirmation. Now as more feathers come it I feel less certain. Any thoughts?
