    Dark, cornish bantam chicks arriving this week. Any advice?

    I am a pretty new member here myself and love all the helpful information and friendly people here! I also have a lil dark cornish bantam pullet in my mixed flock..they are really pretty! Good luck with your new chicks!

    ( looks like what ideal poultry sells as a Pearl Old English which is a Mottled Self Blue Old English ) this is a suggestion that someone posted on my mine. I looked it up and it sure does look like my chick. Maybe that's what you have too?

    whoops! Mine is 9 1/2 weeks..hard to keep them all straight..lol! So it is much bigger but looked just like yours at that age. Is yours very flighty? This one is a nervous wreck half the time!

    Thanks! I have looked everywhere for that silver chick and can't find one that matches Also 4 and 5 are 9 1/2 weeks not 7..lol..hard to keep them all straight!

    Sorry posted before I was done:hide Have figured out most of my flock..but am wondering what ya'll think what breed and sex these are? these guys legs seem to be turning green to me I have 3 they all look very similar except one is light, one medium, and one dark in color..and I'm thinking #3...

    Could something ( predator or pest ) be disturbing them causing the eggs to end up on the floor and making them feel unsafe to roost inside?

    Yes, that one is feathering and growing much slower than the other one. Our TSC didn't have bantams so I got them at the feed store. Thanks so much for the input..I really appreciate it

    Thankyou! Number 2's comb is yellow and nearly flat. Number 3's is yellow and mostly flat it's just has a couple very small bumps.

    ooops..chicks 1 and 2 are 5 weeks..the others are almost 8 weeks. I'm really hoping someone can ID them, especially number 6, she ( I hope ) is such a sweetheart!
