Toxin Suspect Recovering - Should I Keep Her Quarantined?

So my hen is recovering. Long story short, I suspect she had some sort of toxin because of the speed on onset and her also fairly rapid recovery. I found her barely able to move about a week ago, and now with just gentle care she's fairly active. For more details please see the topic link below...

HELP! What is wrong? Droopy wing, beak down, Pictures..

Threehorses, I just brought her inside, kept her warm and helped her drink some water. I didn't do a flush or anything or vitamins. I assumed it was Marek's and was just waiting until I had time to dig a hole before culling her. Then she started getting better! Now she's not up to a normal...

HELP! What is wrong? Droopy wing, beak down, Pictures..

After reading this, I'm thinking maybe my pullet has botulism too. I found her if a very similar posture with her beak on the ground. With just gentle care she seems to getting better. How long do I need to isolate her from the group for?

    Sick Chikcen

So, update. I'm going to assume it's not Marek's, because my hen is walking again! I haven't done anything other than keep here inside and give her food and water. DBF was a little upset to come home from working out of town and find her in the bathtub. Now she's in the shed isolated from the...

    Sick Chikcen

I'd really appreciate anyone else's opinion on this. I can't even get her to drink. She occasionally stirs a little bit every half hour or so.

    Sick Chikcen

Her weights fine. She's actually grown a bit more than some of the other girls she came with. I didn't notice anything wrong with her yesterday, but I didn't do much more than count them. So it could be a progressive thing. I didn't see any unusual poop out there, and she hasn't pooped since I...

    Sick Chikcen

Should I hand feed and water her? Is it safe to do that with a syringe? The only other main symptom I've noticed is that her eyes were almost sealed shut with mucous. I've cleaned that off now though.

    Sick Chikcen

Help! I have a almost 5 month old chantecler pullet that isn't really moving. She seemed fine yesterday, but today when I came out, she went to run away from and fell over. There's not sign of external injury that I can find. There's a little bit of excrement on her feathers near the vent, but...

WANTED: EASTERN WILD TURKEY EGGS, JUST A FEW

Southernchick, I would recommend checking out the laws in your area and finding out if its even legal to release captive bred birds or to feed wild ones. I know in Montana, we have strict laws against it. Of course some of my neighbors feed turkeys anyways, and they regularly become roadkill...

    chicken mistakes (coop building questions)

As for removable roosts, I just used some old curtain rod and bought some of the cheap plastic mountings like you have in closets. One side is a full and the other is a half circle. If you them to be snug, you can yank them out, but the chickens can't.

    Ramp into henhouse

The ramp's for the chickens to into the coop. I made the chicken door a wee bit on the small side and thus far my hens won't jump up to it. They will jump into the coop if the human door's open though. Do y'all think 6 inches is wide enough for a ranch. I do have some 2 x 6s lying around.

    Ramp into henhouse

Anyone have any easy suggestions for building a ramp? It only has to go up about a foot. Thanks!

Devastating - the dog killed another chicken

IMHO, hunting dogs (pointers and hounds in particular) should never be left alone with "prey." Although there may be some exception, their instincts are just too strong. You seem unwilling to put your dog in an enclosure that's separate from the chickens. You might want to try a highline. I'm...
