...like this before. They usually need some reassurance but then are fine after a day or two. I'm very afraid it is a habit that I'll never break. *Sigh*
I'm just tired and letting out my frustrations I guess. It all comes down to who is stronger willed......him or me. I WILL outlast the...
My DH had it done last summer without too much complaining so it must not have been too bad. They gave him a guard to wear on the roof of his mouth where they took the graft but it bothered him so much that he never wore it but didn't have too much pain. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine
Just last night I saw a teenage girl with them in her hair. When I mentioned it to my own teenagers, they told me its the hot new trend at high school for the girls to wear "feather extensions".

I'm on the east side too, just south of the U of U and I've been amazed by the number of hawks I've seen circling low over the neighborhood---I guess keeping chickens has given me a predator radar because I never used to notice them. Some of them are pretty big---more the size of small...
Hey Watermelon! Since I'm not very handy, I bought my coop from a guy up in Heber that advertises on KSL.com. The only thing I would suggest is to know where in your yard you will be putting it because some of the models he has don't do well up against a fence---the egg door is in the back...

On another note, I needed some more coop bedding yesterday and thought I would just get some at the local petco rather than drive all the way to the feed...
Definitely paint the interior. I don't think the girls care about the color but mine is lavender inside and it makes me happy every time I open the door. AND its so much easier to clean
I used a couple of coats of porch paint on the plywood floor. The floor is covered with pine shavings. Its lasted two years and I've had no problems so far.
and welcome to the Utah thread!
Today I went for a walk and noticed another neighbor less than a block away with chickens in their back yard!! They were so pretty and had an AWESOME coop. That makes four of us in a block radius that I know of.
I bought myself a box of chocolates which I have hidden from DH in my drawer. When our kids asked DH why he didn't give me anything he replied that he took me out a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't "do" Valentine's day---- too commercial. I'll probably get myself some flowers later in the...
Its been a while since anyones posted here. How are everyone's flocks doing in this cold weather? I've been keeping mine warm with 2 hot water bottles (milk jugs filled with hot tap water ). I change the water morning and night and it hasn't been frozen so far so they must be keeping my little...
