    Cockerel or Pullet Wyandotte/Ameracauna breed

Thanks so much for all the help. I can obviously see his saddle Feathers now and he is starting to grow in some hackle feathers as well. I’m actually not as disappointed. I have an Ameracauna hen and would love to have some chicks to extend my flock and cull a few that have needed to go for some...

Here are some other images. It looks like there are no hackle feathers, but cushion feathers appear to be present.

Good question. I don't think so. I'm afraid it may have arancana not Ameracauna. The feathers underneath are fluffy like that breed and no tail feathers seem absent from pecking.

Hen plucking and eating each other's feathers

I have two hens from another flock that have been quaretined and introduced to my flock. They have been with my flock for about 3 weeks now. When they were bought one had been hen pecked. No blood, but obvious bald spots on the neck and near the vent and on top near the tail feathers. No visible...

Thanks y'all. The previous owner got them at TSC and they were sold under speckled Sussex. She was just trying to make sure she got it right instead of what they told her :)

Hen has sounds of gurgling and raspy breath, help.

I cracked open the egg. Pics attached. Lighter but not too light yolk. A little watery and slightly cloudy eggwhite, but it is currently 100 degrees outside here in South Texas and the egg is fresh. The shell wasn't as thick as my girls normal eggs so she needs more calcium which she will get...
