i just don’t understand how it could be but obviously it probably is. the stuff that came out didnt look like the typical bumblefoot pus. it was literally just fat and we saw no scratch or ANYTHING. my dad is really convinced it’s a bite.
hey it’s been awhile!! update on my chicken, we had to put her down yesterday. Her foot busted and it was bleeding bad. She was panting and suffering. we had to let her go. She stayed strong for 5 months 🤍 we looked into her foot after she passed to see what went wrong and her leg and foot was...
thank you for the advice!! definitely will do soaks even tho it’s harder to do since it’s winter time. i’ve tried contacting vets but unfortunately since i live in a very small town, nobody works on chickens.do you think if i drain it one good time and then let it heal over THEN start soaking it...
thank you sm i’ll have to look into it!! any advice on the next step? her foot is the worst it’s ever been and it’s SUPER swollen, almost looks like it’s gonna pop any minute. it has a greenish color to it now. i’ll try to provide pictures. i need to drain it i feel like but i don’t it’s just...
didn’t think about that!! when i first saw her foot, my mind went straight to bumblefoot. i looked at her foot and there was no visible mark or cut on her foot. no scab either, which is a tell tell sign of bumblefoot. i thought maybe she got bit by something?
i don’t believe it’s bumblefoot bc i truly think if it was, it would have killed her by now. there has been absolutely no scab to pull off, nothing. even the pus doesn’t resemble bumblefoot. it’s just meaty blood coming out of her leg, almost looks like something that would be in a blister. i’m...
we’ve soaked her foot multiple times and saw no difference. we’ve drained it 3 times and it comes back every time. we will be cutting into it again but i know there’s gonna be no difference. if this was bumblefoot, wouldn’t have killed her or made her sick by now?
this before we did surgery and it looks the exact same rn. the only difference is that it’s more swollen and the pus is all the way up in her leg and i can feel it.
my chickens foot has been swollen for 3 months now. it was swollen on just her foot and we cut into it and meaty blood came out. there has been no scab to sign that its bumlefoot. its just a blood pus filled foot and leg. i feel like if it was bumblefoot it would have killed her by now. we...
