Hi i had an egg laid by one of my lohmanns day before yesterday, weighs in at just over 5 ounces (uk) , hen did struggle a bit and came out of nest box and laid it in cool long grass.... rather her than me! i havent opened it yet and would post pic if i knew how too!

thank you, they seem to be as usual now its bedtime... i do provide a cat litter tray with soil in every day, (dont know why cos althought they do use it a lot they still make their own too!) maybe they sense that winter is just around the corner so they best sunbathe while they can!?
mealworms, sunflower seeds, went and picked some blackberries for them, lettuce leaves, cabbage leaves, some seeded bread a bit of grated carrot! too much you think?
