My Canada Goose who we had for two years just flew away the other day. We clipped the wings last year and I was going to do it again soon. I hope he's okay and found some of his own.
Keep the wings clipped is my advise
I totally love our call duck pair. It's so cute the way the female quacks so loudly, she's really got attitude! The little boy just follows her everywhere. I"m hopeful for ducklings in the spring.
I feed my chickens all my eggshells and never have this problem. I think it's an instinct for them to eat eggshells, since they eat the eggshell after the chick hatches in much the same way that a cat eats the placenta. That's my theory at least.
I used to live in Joshua Tree many years ago. Would drive through Apple Valley now and then. Didn't Roy Rogers and Dale Evans have a big ranch out there?

With all due respect, this is inaccurate. You seem to be describing "fair use" law, which would not cover the kind of thing we're talking about here. And even "fair use" can be challenged, and has been successfully fought most of the time that it's been challenged.
hehe,,, ya dont...

Thanks for the ideas.
I don't think this is physical because she isn't doing it all the time. It's happened 3 times in perhaps 3 weeks, always when we've been gone all day. Otherwise she is going outdoors or using the litterbox. She appears vigorous and healthy in every other way...

That's what seems to happen. We were gone all day yesterday to the fair and didn't get back till late, and she was alone in the house. I'll have to make sure the dogs can get in from now on. She's a very affectionate kitty, really likes company. Her mother doesn't have anything to do...
It's funny because it was only recently I decided to actually use this quilt, and then this started
Maybe I'll find a place to hang up the quilt. It's too special to just keep in a closet.
The quilt is a white background quilt, made entirely of tiny sextagons that are about one inch across, with pastel flower patterns made of tiny sextagons, all entirely handstitched in the '30s by my first husband's Grandmother Jacka. I used the enzyme soap but it wouldn't entirely remove the...
Wow, that's weird. It's a nice looking chicken you have there, but I don't see anything so unique about the picture that they couldn't take a similar picture of their own chicken, unless they're scam artists who are selling bogus eggs.
I would report them to eBay for misrepresentation
Thanks for posting this picture. He probably smelled his friend, and as you say, was guarding him. My dogs and cats have a very strong bond with one another that is precious.
I love your dog, he looks good as gold!
We have a very sweet calico older kitten named Lady. We have her mother too, so we've had her from birth. She's affectionate and well adjusted, very calm, and great in every way, except for the fact that yesterday was the third time I found poop on my bed. And this time it was loose poop and was...
