What I meant to also say is you can reach out to a bird sanctuary or find falconry groups and if it has to come down to it then they will get food. Roosters are not allowed in my neighborhood/county so I can’t have roosters at all. I do keep one or 2 until they fertilize some eggs and then I...
So I know that this may not be ideal however I have a friend with her falconry license. Any chicks or chickens or quail that die go to her to feed her hawks. I have had to do this with a few roosters as well because no one would take them. It was hard for me but the circle of life happens. I...

I geek out on chickens and quail. I breed them both and donate the birds! It’s my 43 year old midlife crisis I guess hatching babies. I have 2 kiddos but I may like the birds better 🤫

I have a chicken that has the exact comb of yours with the shorter single that people are saying is a tall pea comb for an EE. I hatch chicks and this is the only one I have hatched that has this short of a single. And I only breed with my own. Here is the pic of your chick. I will post mine...
Not going to lie I give my chickens and quail cooked baked beans and rinse them completely (because they are from a can) and soak them in water then rinse again to get the added salt etc off. I do this as a treat or for the day or 2 I may run out of feed. But I don’t feed them alone I made...
