Yeah, been out here for about 8 months. I only have 9 chickens. Once I get the property fenced in I plan to get more. They free range for the most part. This is my first time with chickens. My coop is posted too. Thanks for the welcome
So, I actually buried all the food that was left in the can. We will see what grows. Lol. I also rinsed out the can, and dried it. Grabbed my caulking gun and slapped some silicone on all the seams (outside of the can).

Lmao, the bottom is the only place I skipped the hardware cloth! And I ended up with more than enough that I could have.... uggghh. Oh well. Next is a home for some ducks. I'm gonna try to go cheaper this time but I doubt that will be possible for me.

This is the first coop (or anything for that matter) I've ever built. Did it solely from pictures from the net. Found out today that the actual instructions were under "coops" on this webpage. Anyway, did this by hand, by myself until painting time, from start to finish. Was not very difficult...
