    Is there some trick to get a rooster to stay out of the nest box? Or do I have to make new nest boxes up on the wall?     Thanks! I was afraid of that. My 4yo decided this was HER chicken and named it "Seagull" (haha), but she also wants her chicken to lay eggs... I guess she needs two chickens now LOL. I googled Hamburgs and I agree he looks like a cross.

    Wondering if this is a hen or roo. It has started making somewhat rooster-like crowing sounds. I don't know what breed / breeds it is. It was a freebie mystery chicken from an acquaintance who didn't know what it was either LOL. It's 3.5 - 4 months old.
