I love BYC. I don't mind ads. I know they are important and I like to read them. But these darn video ads cause my computer to to go into high gear and heat up. I actually stopped coming to this site last Spring because of them. Today I come back and there they are. Still! My computer is fine...
Thank you. This is the first I've heard of dosing 3 days in a row. I did buy some ivermectin but unless they look worse when I get home I wii wait for my Valbazen tomorrow When I heard gapeworm I heard death sentence but maybe they will survive. Just have to do a regular worming several times...
That's just it. I read on this forum that Valbazen didn't have to be preceded by wazine. Just the 2 doses 10 days apart according to Dawg53 Did I read correctly? Also I think the gapeworm needs to take priority if it's possible. I am at tractor supply now. Think I'll just buy out the entire...
Everything seems to have just gone to hell in the last few weeks! First I had an Easter Egger pooping green/yellow and very lethargic. I started her on Penicillin and kept her in the house one night and she perked right up. Next day my big Brahma hen starts wheezing. I gave her a shot of...
I am new to poultry shows and swaps, but a breeder has offered to bring a couple chicks I want to this show. My question is....Is there a way to find out what people are bringing for sale? A list somewhere maybe? I'd like to get a couple more chicks while I'm there.
My grandmother from Wayne County KY during the depression would cook a possum for a homeless man who would bring her one on occasion. She wouldn't eat it because she said it was very very greasy. This isn't her recipe.
Roast Opossum:.
The opossum is a very fat animal with a peculiarly flavored...
I think you are on to something. Right now my chickens roost across the back of the coop and forward up the left side a little. kind of a |¯¯ shape. I have built a board with sides under them filled with PDZ. If I built an exterior 8 ft long nesting box along the left side, I could extend the...
Do you think it would work to attach a box like structure the length of the coop on the left?. Kind of an egg laying box, built out from the side about 3 feet. If that would be too wide, maybe extra support with post or extend the platform, This would give a little more floor space. Tilted roof...
I was hoping to add more run space. They now have on the right 10x8 feet plus the 4x8 under the coop. They also have the run of the side yard about a quarter acre as you can tell by the state of my grass. That is a thought especially if I covered or enclosed it. Thanks.
We purchased this coop several years ago. We built a platform and then slid the coop off the truck on to it. The first pictures are of the coop shortly after we got it and the 4th is the following summer. I do have real steps now! It currently contains 7 chickens and you guessed it, I want more...
