    Isbar thread

In 2011 gff imported a trio of isbars(f1) which turned out to be siblings, so they hatched out there eggs and raised them up(f2). The chicks they originally sold were the offspring of f2. So everyone has been breeding sibling's, without sourcing from different breeder's the breed will stay weak...

    The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

First show of the season tomorrow, here in North/Central FL. The heat is gone, the humidity is down, and I am left with a bunch of half naked chickens....Two of the hens I entered suddenly have no tails, so I am down to three entries. I will be putting the Imported against the half American...

Kudos to Julie, Roger (Joy, prior to him), and Nellie for your hard work with maintaining and perfecting the blues! I appreciate the kind words though....

Hello all! I've been on hiatus for the last couple of weeks, spending all my time raking feathers , but finally had a chance to catch up on the thread. So many beautiful orp pictures everyone! I thought I'd add to the bunch... Progression of my favorite blue cockerel from Julie at four...

    Chocolate Orpingtons

I'm no authority, but I do show and breed black English Orpingtons. Chocolate splits (or roosters carrying the chocolate gene) do not express the chocolate color on their feathers. The only way to know for sure is to breed them to black and see if any resulting chicks hatch out chocolate. More...
